Description

Zinc plating is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, to prevent rusting. We use electro-galvanizing method, which is galvanized through electrode reaction. The zinc ingot is used as the anode, the zinc atoms lose their electrons and become ions and dissolve into the electrolyte. The steel strip is used as the cathode, the zinc ions gain electrons on the steel strip and are reduced to zinc atoms that are deposited on the surface of the steel strip to form a coating.
