3.3V/5A DC-DC Converter
This is a very efficient DC-DC buck converter, based on the LM3150MH Synchronous Step-Down Controller IC from Texas Instruments.
It has a wide range of input voltages from 6 to 42V and a fixed output of 3.3V/5A.
I make this PCB as I wanted to get more familiar with power supply and converter design.
Aside from keeping efficiency in mind, and adding extra components for improved efficiency, thermal efficiency was also put in mind, by using thermal vias and techniques to improve heat dissipation.
This design was made for a double-layer PCB for reduced cost and ease of manufacturing.
The converter could be used to power small things like an ESP32 microcontroller, and also more current demanding components.
